Crawler Crane Lattice Boom
Crawler crane lattice boom is a multi section assembled truss structure. The length can be changed after adjusting the number of sections. Its lower end is hinged in the front of the turntable, and its top end is suspended and supported by a luffing steel wire rope pulley block, which can change its inclination.
Main lattice boom assembly includes : the bottom boom, the section boom and the head boom.
The section boom has different lengths of 3m, 6m, 9m, etc. And it can be added or removed from the existing boom configuration to increase or decrease the boom length as well as radius to meet the job site requirement.
Crawler crane lattice boom is used to lift and move heavy loads, which is the arm of a crawler crane. To give crawler crane lattice boom extreme strength while minimizing weight, the booms are made from steel and welded in a “W” or “V” pattern.
